For the first assignment I will be using my older brothers company. My older brother owns and runs a music/art production company out of Santa Rosa, California name Blisswave Productions. The company has put out 3 records and hosted a handful of concerts in California, Michigan, and Colorado this year. I also work for my brother so this is something that we could actually use in the future.
I would try to convince my boss (my brother) that it is a smart idea to implement a measurement strategy because it would help our company a great deal. Without having any sort of measurement strategy it makes it hard for our company to know where to how we are doing as a company and against our competition. Measurement strategies help companies make more educated decisions instead of being left out in the dark.
For a music production company we could measure how many people have viewed a certain event and use that information to see where it would be a good idea to continue marketing.
