Major trends in social media can be very beneficial for companies because in todays world everyone is using some sort of social media. If you get your company on social media you are guaranteeing your company will get more exposure as well as increasing traffic.

Facebook and Twitter are on top of the social media world. But soon I think Instagram will be. Instagram was recently bought out by Facebook but is an entire social media site itself with the option to upload it to the father site. I have an Instagram account, and recently I have been noticing how many companies are starting to get accounts to do marketing on it. Instagram is all about uploading picstures. for example Nike always is posting pictures of new products they are working on to get people excited.
For your chosen company, how are the trends important? Will they affect their current marketing?
